Ahead of the 2013 Hanukkah holiday, and inspired by the Jewish tradition celebrating courage and bravery, OutBox came up with the concept of the Street Heroes exhibition. In the spirit of the holiday, six contemporary heroes set out to conquer Shenkin St. in the heart of Tel Aviv, which at the time was undergoing a lengthy urban rejuvenation project.
The scene provided the leading graphic design artists participating in the project the perfect canvas on which to illustrate their characters respective take on the urban sphere, in order to provide visitors with a rare opportunity to become familiar with their stories. Street Heroes was able to spark an artistic dialogue about the nature of the Shenkin St. rejuvenation.
